here is the filmchamber review of bangaram it looks like a gone case Synopsis Pawan Kalyan (Bangaram) is an enthusiastic reporter with a publicity-starved TV channel. His dream is to work with the international BBC channel. To realize his ambition, he loves risks. This way, he takes the interview of an extremist in Assam and the cassette is lost in the jungle while rescuing a child from a bomb blast. The In-charge of the TV channel who already flashed interview with the terrorist in the upcoming event, naturally he dismisses Bangaram and serves him with a bad conduct dismissal order. In order to get good-conduct certification, he approaches Mukesh Rushi (proprietor of the TV channel) who arrives from the US. But, some conditions force Bangaram to attach himself closer to Mukesh Rishi family. Sandhya (Meera Chopra), the proprietor’s daughter asks Bangaram to accompany her and friends to their Rayalaseema village to take part in a rural festival. At this place, factionism is rampant. Mukesh Rishi’s opponent and a dreaded factionist (Ashutosh Rana) befriends the former and enters into agreement according to which Sandhya shall marry his brother. The twist is that Sandhya is already in love with a guy from US (Raja). At one stage, Bangaram stops Sandhya from eloping and gets her back to her parents. A repentant Bangaram, later, makes all out efforts to unite them. For this purpose, he even tears to pieces the Good Conduct Certificate that he got from the proprietor. How he accomplishes this task forms the crux and climax of the story. Talents Display : Pawan Kalyan comes out with his pucca mannerisms that he displayed in his previous films, yet with an iota of extra-punch. Interestingly, the characterization of Bangaram is left incomplete and the seriousness in its treatment. However, he exhibited superb entertainment in dance and stunts sequences. Meera Chopra, who played the heroine (not for Pawan), offers no special address to the audience that she remains de-glamorous all through the movie. Reema Sen received little footage yet with impressive leg. Her role in this movie may be compared to that of the one in “Veede” – with maximum possible expose and body shakes. Mukesh Rishi played a soft role as father of two girls. Ashutosh Rana’s villainies fail to impress the audiences. Venu Madhav, Ali and Shakeela come out with comedy track which is confused and helps little or nothing in entertaining the audiences. Trisha appears in the climax scene and announces her love for the hero. Of course, this type of thread is pulled and pulled in many a Telugu movie. All the other characters have served well in their limitations. Technical Stuff The much awaited “Bangaram” disappoints as far as the story is concerned. Certainly, it is not the sort the element fit for Pawan Kalyan. Romantic expressions, which form part and parcel of Pawan Kalyan films, is utterly lacking in this movie. Imagine a story where you don’t have a heroine for the main hero! Screenplay is mired with sporadic stunts and songs. The first half has some appeal while the second half goes totally out of control. Where is the story going? Direction by Dharani disappoints. Coming to characterization, he relied much on the hero while sidelining the roles of others, thus, killing the entertainment factor. The treatment of comedy track would give a feel that it is done just for comedy’s sake, devoid of any interest. The insertion of the thread where the villain gets ready to take 10-year old girl as wife to his brother comes as a vulgar development and throws a heavy and deliberate material to the audiences. However, you have some respite through dialogues department, which again is run-off-the-mill kind. Music by Vidyasagar is impressive in parts on the screen. The title song “Bangaram” is highlight, while two more numbers are good. Stunts are overstretched and have led to the sidetracking the main story. This way, this wing too springs as a wanted projection. The factionist drama in fact is not a necessity here. FC Verdict: The movie is opened to astonishing collections, but has left a void among the audiences as they come out of the theatres. Powered by Pawan Kalyan, it might offer the intended goods to the fans, but a testing time to the general audiences. |
