Confetti and Rose Petals flew in the air, horns blew, the crowd cheered and it was total MOVIE MADNESS at its BEST and am sure even Mahesh enjoyed it to the TEE.
Organizers did their best to control the crowd by bringing in the BOUNCERS and forming a HUMAN CHAIN so that Mahesh was not mobbed, but fans of all ages were unstoppable and finally 'ATHADU' obliged for few pics and few including one of the 'SAINIKUDU' T-Shirt Gang Members got an autograph on the T-Shirt.

On a Thursday Evening in Late November, the weather god also seemed to be excited about the event and spared the wrath so the anxious fans could wait for the New Gen Hero - Mahesh Babu. Die Hard fans took a day off from work and drove all the way from Connecticut, Maryland, D.C, Delaware, New York, New Jersey to spend quality time with the film crew. The screening of the movie got underway around 9PM as the flight carrying the prints and the souvenirs got delayed.
While most of the fans were inside watching and cheering the 'Sainikudu', the 'Pokiri' fans were braving the slight wind chill to meet, greet or just get a glimpse of Mahesh Babu. After many false alarms, the crowd finally went gaga as soon as they saw the White Limo drive past Route 1 entering the Loews located at South Brunswick, NJ around 11PM.

The energy, excitement and enthusiasm of Mahesh Babu, Guna Shekar, Aswini Dutt, Swapna Dutt after a torrid 18 hours of journey shocked and surprised one and all. There were hardly any signs of tiredness or jetlag.
Aswini Dutt Garu gave the introductory speech thanking the US Audience and said he was surprised by the response and the reception.
When 'OKKADU' finally arrived into the theatre, the 'Sainyam' cheered, whistled, shouted slogans - 'Super Star Mahesh Babu', 'Pokiri' and 'Sainikudu'. Aswini Dutt Garu invited Guna Shekar, Harris Jayaraj and Mahesh Babu on the dias.Speaking on the occasion Mahesh Babu apologized for the delay and thanked the audience for waiting patiently.
Response was tremendous when he said, America lo vunnana Andhra lo vunnana ani anipistundhi. He said that he is touched by the over whelming response for his movies and specially for Pokiri and increased the range of overseas market for telugu movies.
Many fans requested him to take off his cap for which Mahesh Babu replied that he came straight from the airport and didn't get a chance to even take a shower so that you wouldn't have to wait longer. At one point he even had tears of joy and promised that he will be back for premier of all his future movies. Before leaving, 'Sainikudu' obliged for few more pictures and autographs and left a marking impression on one and all in New Jersey.
Special mention to Swapna Dutt who is proving that she is the right heiress to the 'VYJAYANTHI EMPIRE'. She was very professional and at the same time very courteous to the kids who came to meet and take pictures with Mahesh Babu.
At the time of writing this article, Mahesh Babu and team embarked on their second leg of their journey to enthrall the fans in Detroit, Michigan.
