nenu firsttrade use chesta. kani it is not good. I am using this because its cheap. Better stick to scottrade.
Sometimes the triggers (sell, buy, limit) will not work in firstrade  .

After you go through the initial tutorials, I would suggest that you do some mock trades on a spreadsheet for a little bit and then jump in.
Also, I read some good articles on www.fool.com where they suggest that you buy in one-thirds that is if you decide to buy 300 stocks of X, first buy 100, then depending on the performance buy the next third and then the last third.
