Also you are in to fertilizer, chemicals?
I am watching TNH for a while. nearly 18% div. I dont think they can continue the same in future.
But whever economy make a turn around, we will see demand for fertilizers. Analzing too many in this area./////
Also no idea about TNH. I own few stocks in this area for a long time. POT, AGU etc.. I think this sector will do much better relative to others when and if the whole market start showing some life.
I think potash and phosphate based fertilizer manufacturers will do better compared to Nitrogen based fert. manufacturers. |

Any one line advice on real estate market in India.. lately me and my bro invested quite a bit in real estate around vijayawada.. my dad wants to slow down all investments in real estate for next 4 months.
No idea.
I am done with India real estate stuff 5 years back. brother & friends regularly call me on these stuff (around vizag area) but for soem reason i am little -ve. until next elections.
Now simply stocks(selectve areas) & bonds.
most of my time goes with this only. |

Pda :mama I still don't get when to jump in for long term.. say one year recession is looming and starts in Nov officially, Duh! market goes down into lower 7k in November, what happens next one year long?.. will bear stay around 7k-8k or will it jump into 6k.. what would be the general trend?.
One more thing. watch TOYOTA. Long term solid & people do need their stuff. I like the way they run the company & philosophy |

you will always see bear market suckers rallis.
Next spring is too critical interms of housing stabilization + next precidents policies.
I think gudi mama told, all compinies expectation in rock bottom, permanent demand destruction etc happend. So thing will start very slowly. buill is always slow. it is easy to figureout bull markets. Dont worry for entry points.  |

in the last bubble i payed with oil, real estete & medical & tech & i safely out.
Now i am thinking of fertilizers, chemicals, Alt energy, Tech, infrastcture, metals.. still analyzing. At first i want to see DOWN below 8K & S&P 800. then jumpings slowly. |

With low oil prices, I am sure strip will survive recession comfortably. I am looking into LVS, hearing lot of horrible stories that it could go bankrupt.

OIL component in TCK's present revenue is zero. They are in the process of developing a project with PetroCanada but I doubt whether it would go ahead in it's current shape. TCK's main source of income comes from Copper, Metalurgical Coal, Zinc, Gold, Lead, Moly etc.. in that order. I bought this first time when it was around $11. Now my average is higher than current stock price but I can wait for next few years. You may get another chance to buy before all this is over. |

Aluminum production is very power intensive. Without cheap source of power, it's very difficult to make money at the current Aluminum price. Just a high level analysis, saying most of the smelters in the world are losing money right now.

Being said that at some point in the future supply/demand equation has to come in to the play. Aluminum market is highly dependent on your outlook for Chinese demand, energy prices and USD going forward. I think it's better to go for a diversified metal producer than a pure play. There are couple names I like: BHP and TCK, both trade in the US. You might know BHP already. TCK is a canadian company, do your own DD. |
