stud maams
installed xp pro and finally i managed to install all the drivers and some utilities.
as in before-
- made recovery dvds from vista and made double sure that they worked when trying to restore to factory settings.
- using device manager noted down all the hardware(VGA ,ethernet,modem,wlan,audio n stuff) manufacturers names.(we are still in windows vista)
- Formatted the drive and did clean install of windows XP pro(fully updated).
- http://www.css.ap.sony.com/vaio/Vista/General/Mode lList.aspx?Model=VGN ee link loo just model main initials type cheste u ll get all the models related to the one you have entered .. nenu mundu series di download chesa all the drivers and applications.

- some drivers i could install from these(1st link) and for remaining i tried in respective hardware sites and installed from their site.. antee sony website loo nunchi download chesindi just few drivers matramee..
- anni drivers install chesa and in XP pro all the hardware is working fine with no probs at all .
main ga sony utilities like hot key utilities, battery checker, event service n stuff .. work kaledu oka 6 models nunchi try chesa ... but naa deggara time lekunde as i had to return the laptop tonight... correct gaa google loo and above 2 links loo try chesthee avi kooda dorkutayi..only vaio control center install chesa.. but laptop is 100 % fine and even better with windows XP pro apart from the utilities(my guess is u dont need them much ).

latop sony vaio vgn N 38 series.. denemma intha dabba model naa life loo chodledu .. the outer case entha 3rd class antee antha worst like all the laptop is packed in plastic box ..evaranna plan chesthee ee series aithe teeskovaddu. |

indaka i got a laptop sony VGA N series to configure-
hard truths:-
1- sony website doesn't support any drivers for windows xp.
2- only sony uk website loo support vundi that too u need to agree that "any hardware damage doesnt cover in the guarantee" then u can download .. (ee site loo 1 hr nunchi try chesa but invain due to some server problem)
3- Downgrading to XP (free of cost) from Vista is only for business editions.
4. konni months back varaku they had drivers for xp ippudu dentloo levu.. same configuration (mother board, vga , audio sata ) ni inkoo previous danthoo compare chskoni drivers download cheskoavatamee..
so what i plan to do with this laptop is-
- recovery dvd chesa (took one full DUAL LAYER DVD... u can opt for 2 dvds @ 4,7gb too).
- format chesi xp esi .. Am looking out for same configs in dell or in HP website to get the corresponding drivers..
- trial and error based meeda try cheyyali inka drivers in the google .. idi easy once you know the name of HARDWARE manufacturer.
- Kaledu antee I would reformat in vista and give it back.
Repu post chesta if it worked or not.. |

downgrading option(company website loo nee vista code ichi u can obtain one OEM windows xp licence) vuntundi ankunta ... ikkada okadu chesadu for hp laptop.. aina xp install chesina tarvatha all the drivers can be downloaded from sony support website.. tolu po companies ee support chestayi like acer and some taiwan laptops.. sony 100 percent chestundi xp ki driver support.. 100 percent lock cheskooo mama ..
format chesina tarvatha drivers download cheskoni try cheyyi .. appudu kooda work kaledente any time u can restore ur laptop to factory settings using recovery dvd. |
