If you compare the process to US or even Aus. it is not that difficult for engineers. First you have to get all the documentation correct. One more thing I forgot to mention. Immigration dept., at their discretion, may ask you to come for an interview. In my case they didn't. Also you have to show $15k in bank balance approx. |

Ans: Immigration process ekkadinuchayina okate. The only reason for relatively quick response for the people who are applying from the US is that the number of applicants are less. So they have enough staff to process the applications, where as in India the backlog is so high it is taking more than 3 years now. Employment history verification ki probably letters from previous employers enough. Last 15 years ki police clearance certificate submit cheyali. This was little bit difficult in my case as I lived in four different places and two different countries before moving to Canada.

Verification baagane chestaru. In addition you have to go through medical check up in the second stage. It will take at least a year overall. Process goes like this: First you submit application with all the supporting documents. They will respond in couple months saying that they received the application. After 6 months or so, they will ask you to go for medical check-up. They have a list of doctors in every country and you have to go to one of them specifically. I think the results go directly to the immigration dept., I don't remember. Then roughly after six months or so they will send the papers.
In my case it is slightly different. My employer brought me here on business visa first, converted it in to work permit after few months of my arrival and arranged visit visas for my family. Once all of us are here, they applied for immigration status for all of us. It took about 4 months in those days for the process. Company did everything and so it was very easy for me. |

Agents chala charge chestaru, it's not worth. If you have all the proper documentation, do it on your own. naa classmates iddaru own ga apply chesaru US nundi. they got with in a year.
