Director Kondandaramireddy's Punnaminagu with heroine Mumait Khan was launched on Wednesday at Annapoorna Studios. The first shot was canned on film heroine Mumaith Khan and hero Rajeev Kanakala. Taraka Ratna gave the clap, while Parachuri Venkateshwara Rao switched on the camera. E.V.V.Satyanarana directed the first shot.
Kodandarami Reddy and Yandamuri Veerendranath has come together for this film as director and writer respectively after long time.
"I worked with Yandamoori earlier for the films like Abhilasha, Challenge, Maranamrudangam, Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnulu. Hope we repeat the same magic," Kodanda wished.
Veerendranath informed that he was away from the films for long time. "I am looking after a school in my hometown Kakinada. It is the producers who insisted me to work again with my good friend Kodanda," he said. Rajeev Kanakala said that he feels he got a promotion with this film as he worked with Kondandarami Reddy for the film Okato Number Kurradu where he did the role of villain.
"I am playing a strange Nagin, who doesn't believe in revenge, but love," said Mumaith Khan. The film will have regular shoot from month end.
