after 3 years of h1, u get another 3 years of h1, at this time "take a decision on employer changing etc" then STart GC process.
GC LATE ayina, atleast 1 yr 1yr u can keep extending h1 for future.
if GC -labor is not applied, then after 6 years "india back". once again fresh h1b after 365 days gap which anyway will not work-out |

inkoti: as long as your "petetion is pending" you can stay . I-94 ,approval new revised dates tho vosthai. |

nenu H1 india lo vundaga apply chesa.. then i traveled to US on L1B.. while i am in US, my H1B was approved.. i worked on L1B for 1 and half years.. then i amended my H1B petition requesting for status change ... they issued me new I94 allowing me to work for my new employer for the period that my H1 is valid... |

1. you can request for new H1 petition
2. you can request for status change from your existing status to H1 status... |

maa cousin L1 meeda US ki velladu(2006 dec) thru TCS. last year h1 apply cehsadu and it got approved. He can work from 2007 oct on H1. kaani he worked in TCS till feb 08 .. then jumped from TCS and started working for company (h1).. maa cousin gaademo employer L1 nunchi h1 ki convert chesademo ankunnadanta.. but now he came to know that he is in " OUT OF STATUS(not converted) " .. so he needs to go to india for stamping..his L1 is valid till dec 08... emanna problem avtunda . ..
