PAWAN Career
Pawan Kalyan entered Telugu movie industry with Akkada Abbai Ikkada Ammayi as Kalyan Babu. Though this film did not do well at the box office, Pawan Kalyan was noticed for his expertise in Martial Arts.
His second movie Gokulamlo Sita was an average flick but next his 3rd film Suswagatham was a big hit.
In 1998, Tholi Prema was released. It started initially on a low profile but the treatment and the storyline along with melodious music by Deva took the movie to great heights. And so did the image of Pawan Kalyan. Tholi Prema, a milestone movie in Pawan Kalyan's career, made the audience recognize the depth of talent in him.
Thammudu, another blockbuster followed, is a remake of Jo Jeetha Wohi Sikkandar with a difference that Pawan Kalyan is a kickbocker. Badri, directed by Poori Jagannath starring Pawan Kalyan, Amisha and Renu Desai is carried to a success range solely by Pawan Kalyan.
Pawan Kalyan is, as reported by media by then, involves himself in other aspects of the film too. Though few criticize that, it's his responsibility and commitment to the project that makes him take care of everything. And ofcourse, it worked each and every time. Kushi, released in 2001, created records. Kushi, his 7th movie, went on to get a gross of 20 crores.
After Kushi, Pawan Kalyan was in Japan for a brief period learing Akido martial art. That's for his debut directoral film Johnny . The film had Renu Desai as lead actress. The film didnot do great at the boxoffice but the movie has touching moments and became a canvas of Pawan's directoral skills.
Gudumba Shankar released in 2004. This film has Pawan Kalyan written all over it. Stunts and songs are conceptualized by Pawan Kalyan. He also got the credits for screenplay. The film is a good family entertainer. However that was not what his fans were expecting. The film did average business at the boxoffice.
Later Vyjayanthi Films released Balu in 2005 . This film is directed by Karunakaran who directed tholi Prema.
Bangaram-Although it opened with extraordinary collections grossing almost 10 crores opening week, Yet, it left the producer with a cool 4 crore profit.
Annavaram was released on December 29, 2006 by getting a good response and proved to be a big hit at box office.On Day 1, the film grossed 3.75 crores.
Jalsa, released in 2008, is the most widely released south Indian picture ever - in about 1000 theaters released worldwide. The film was released in the US with 18 prints.
Jalsa is the first south Indian movie to be listed in the top ten of American based 'Box Office Mojo'. This site surveys all of the movies released in the world and provides their gross earnings. Jalsa stood 9th in its listings for the weekend of April 2-4th, 2008. Jalsa also completed 50 days in 282 centres [1]
MAHESH Career
Mahesh Babu Debuted with Rajakumarudu in telugu Industry as a Hero.The movie co-starred Preity Zinta who played the heroes romantic interest. The movie received good response at the box office.
His 2nd movie was Yuvaraju ,Sakshi sivanand and Simran were cast opposite Mahesh, The movie failed to make an impact at the box office.
His 3rd Movie was Vamsi co-starring Namratha Shirodkar whom he married later on. The movie also featured his father Krishna in a pivotal role. The movie didn't do well at box office and was declared a flop.
His 4th Movie Murari directed by Krishna Vamsi and co-starring Sonali Bendre provided him the much needed breakthrough. The music was an instant hit and it proved Mahesh's ability as an actor.
His 5th and the first Cowboy Movie in his generation was Takkari Donga . Despite heavy expectations the movie failed at the box office.
His 6th Movie was Bobby With arti agarwal as a Heroine and Directed By shoban was a Flop
His 7th Movie was what all His Fans were lookin for Okkadu .This Movie directed by gunasekhar was a Blockbuster and Highest Grosser of telugu Industry till that time, With this movie Mahesh became the Super star of telugu industry
His 8th movie was Nijam , Though the Movie Didn't do well at the Box office it was applauded by the movie critics and Mahesh Won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for this film.
His 9th Movie was Naani , Directed By surya. Mahesh always tried Novelty in his films and this time he did a Experiment with a Different Story of science fiction, this movie did not do well at the box office
His 10th Movie was Arjun Directed By gunasekhar, this is a Family movie which was Average to above average flick
His 11th Movie was Athadu Directed By Trivikram srinivas this was a Huge hit In india and Overseas. the Music added to the Success of the Story. The Movie's screenplay was Critically acclaimed as best till date that time.Mahesh Won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for this film. He Did it again for the second time.
His 12th movie was Pokiri Undoubtedly the Highest grosser in the History of telugu Cinema in India as well as Overseas Till Date. This is the Film that has been watched by film People from Bollywood,Kollywood Like Amitabh Bachchan , Abhishek bachchan,Vijay Etc. His performance was applauded by even Ram Gopal Varma and Amitabh Bachchan.[3] Mahesh's potential attracted Different Media giants like UTV to come to Telugu Industry.
His 13th Movie Sainikudu had a tremendous opening but failed to live up to expectations and became a mediocre at boxoffice. Trisha was starred against him.
His 14th Movie was Athidhi in which he paired with Amrita Rao. This was a Commercially Successful Movie but Didn't go on a long Run, his
