McCain now leads his Democratic opponent by 13 points 54% to 41%. That’s a couple of points more for McCain than he enjoyed in July. Counting “leaners,” McCain leads 56% to 43%, also a bit better than last month for the Republican hopeful.
McCain is now viewed favorably by 63%, Obama by 44%.
The Republican leads 84% to 13% among white voters, while African-Americans favor the Democrat by a 97% to 2% margin.
McCain is viewed favorably by 88% of white voters and 18% of black voters.
For Obama, the numbers are reversed. He gets favorable reviews from 92% of black voters and only 18% of white voters.

you dont win General Election unless you win some states from south... now the ticket is all from north... and moreover, good VEEPs can win their states irrespective of whether it is red/blue/purple... at the EOD it all comes down to number of electoral votes you win... joe biden is poor choice... delaware is not even a swing state let alone red state... delaware has been always blue state in general... you dont pick a senator from NE from a small state and look forward to win some states from south... |

Never in the history the Veep decision which happens atleast 4months beore the general elections impacted the outcome in December.
Redneck ippudu cheppu how would it matter who he picks and ofcourse it will make noise for a week since the media needs to have something to cover and debate. Dont forget Al Gore wasn't the greatest pick before he was picked but he turned out to be one by the time he was done in the office. |

They tried to do it with Kerry, it failed and if you think about it, if Obama goes down, who takes over, yup Biden, a dye in the wool kennedyite.
