Although these two men are successful I find it hard to imagine them as speakers needed to ignite a campain. Kennedy is part of what is wrong with this country, Carter hid in the closet during the Iran hostage crisis. It took Reagan to tell Iran that the day he is sworn in as president that he would come and get the hostages and destroy Iran if he had to. |

He has striven to keep his Democratic base poor, uneducated and jobless so he can tell them that the evil Republicans will take their money away that "THE DEMOCRATS" currently give them. Never forget that if poor uneducated people ever became educated and middle class, they too would object to the government taking their money and wasting it on welfare programs. They would certainly never vote for a Liberal like Kennedy again and he would be out of power.

In 1994, during Ted's Senate run against Mitt Romney, his mother Rose passed away. Despite the fact that Rose had never left the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis, MA in the 10 years prior to her death, the Kennedy family had her state residency moved from MA that had an estate tax to FL which did not. Despite building a career of demanding that the rich pay their fair share, Mr. Kennedy and his family, chose not to pay theirs when it was their turn. Now, understand, what they did was legal and using tax laws to your benefit is the smart thing to do. However, when one makes a career of telling other people to pay certain taxes but then refuses to do so personally, that is hypocrisy. We shall see if the Kennedy family will walk the walk when Uncle Ted passes on or, as they have in the past, will they pass on their chance to practice what Senator Kennedy preached? |

Ted Kennedy a Lion? All I have to say is Mary Jo Kopechne. The man was a coward and has lead a self-absorbed life under the guise of compassion. I worked at the White House when I was in the military -- every time I saw him he, IMO, had had way too much to drink. Swollen jowls and beet red face is the only way I remember him. |

Ted Kennedy....Was never afraid to ask for all the favors he could get out of the Bill Clinton White House. How does he repay the Clintons for their help and loyality....he stabs them in the back....God save us from the likes of Ted Kennedy. Hope he fully recovers from his cancer but I just can't overlook the fact that he used the Clintons' when he needed them and then sold Hillary down the creek in hopes he and his family could once again become the royal family of the Democratic Party. |
