DB members pls kwaament on this analysis (Ofcourse langaress vaters pls donot scold me - endukante nenu deenini copy - faste sesaa ;-) The Congress leaders in the State have reportedly launched an assessment drive on Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s tour on Sunday. The Congress leaders have decided to see an independent comparative study of the YS tour with that of Praja Rajyam president, Chiranjeevi last month. The survey agency was asked to collect the public opinion on the mass appeal for Chiranjeevi in comparison with that of the Chief Minister. According to the sources, the Congress leaders have already come to a conclusion that the Chief Minister was able to draw more people than Chiranjeevi. In addition to this the Congress leaders believe that a major portion of the public who have attended the PRP “Praja Ankita Yatra” have come only to see the Megastar and would not be the vote bank of the party. On the other hand, the leaders believe that those who attended Rajasekhar Reddy’s programme were the real vote bank of the party. The independent survey is expected to be completed in next 15 days, which would also be sent to the AICC for their assessment. “This survey or public opinion would be a pre-poll exercise to assess the party’s image for the next round of elections, besides an assessment on the PRPs influence among the people,” a senior leader looked at it. The Congress leaders are also waiting for Y S Jagan to visit Kakinada next month so as to further assess on the popularity of the Congress. |
