Family of Chiru’s fan lives in penury
Proddutur (Kadapa), Nov. 1: A fan of Chiranjeevi, who lost sight in both of his eyes, during a film release function, is leading a life of penury. Tallamapuri Gurrappa of Proddutur lost sight in both eyes during the release celebrations of Indra in which Chiranjeevi acted in 2002. He along with his wife went to Hyderabad to meet Chiranjeevi. However, he did not succeed in meeting the actor. Gurrappa failed to get aid though he met the Proddutur MLA, Mr Varadarajulu Reddy.
He again went to the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank in Hyderabad after the actor launched the party to get medicare. However, the organisers of the blood bank only gave him Rs 200 and his plight doubled when the hand of his wife was fractured during a stampede there. A police inspector provided treatment to her out of humanitarian consideration and a local doctor is also providing free medicare to her after seeing the condition of the family.
