With the competition for the election increasing after the induction of PRP, even the rate per vote has also increased. It is a known dark secret that votes are bought with notes and those who give the best price get the score. This time, the parties seem to have taken a different route.
It is heard that the many parties’ members are identifying those who are planning to vote for their opponents and are approaching them with a new proposal. They are said to be offering Rs 1000 to them and are marking their fingers with the ink so that they don’t go to the booth to cast their vote. That is a sort of buying the vote with confirmation. The so called new political philosophy says: ‘It is indeed better to give money not to cast the vote for other party than give to cast vote for their party’.
This creative approach (!) is getting good response and those voters who use their right for money are making good revenue. They are taking it from the oppositions and also from the folks of their parties. Though it is a gross misuse of democracy, that is the hard fact that all of us must get used to.(news from ga)
