Foreigners of Indian origin (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) whose present nationality is such that their country of nationality allows dual citizenship in some form or other, are eligible to apply under OCI (Overseas Citizen of India)scheme, if he/she possesses evidence of self or parents or grand parents:
1. Being eligible to become a citizen of India at the time of commencement of Indian Constitution i.e. 26.01.1950. OR
2. Belonging to a territory that became a part of India after 15.01.1947.
OR
3. Being a citizen of India on or after 26.01.1950.
How far in your case the Singapore government will allow this is another issue but as such this whole process seems as giving the person citizenship of India is only allowing certain privileges which the foreigner person not having this OCI card will not be entitled to get. These benefits can be :-
1. Grant of multiple entry, multi purpose life long VISA to visit India.
2. Exemption from registration with FRRO/FRO for any length of time.
3. Parity with NRI's in economic, financial and educational fields except in maters relating to acquisition of agricultural/plantation properties.
However if the Singapore government is not allowing you to get OCI card you can apply for PIO (Person of Indian Origin) card giving some what similar benefits.
Benefits Available To A PIO Card Holder
1. PIO card holder shall not require a separate VISA to visit India. The card is valid for 15 years.
2. PIO card holder will be exempt from the requirement of registration if his stay on any single visit in India does not exceed 180 days.
3. In the event of continuous stay in India of the PIO card holder exceeding 180 days, he/she shall have to get himself/herself registered within 30 days of the expiry of 180 days with the concerned Foreigners Regional Registration Officer/Foreigners Registration Officer.
4. The PIO card holder doesn’t require a student VISA for undertaking studies in India and similarly no Employment VISA will be required for taking up employment in India.
5. The PIO card holder shall enjoy parity with NRIs in respect of facility available to the latter in the economic, financial and education fields except in matters relating to acquisition of agriculture plantation/properties. However, no parity shall be allowed in the sphere of political rights.}}}

Singapore is not allow for " DOUBLE CITIZEN ". if you are Singaporean, one Nation..one Heat. if you think other country is better ( sorry ), you always can give out Singapore Citizen Ship, no body going to stop you. Be a Singapore Citizen , hold Singapore Passport , think about India OCL card, better take India Passport and stay they.if you " own heat" is out of Singapore , sorry to said that !
Moreover manaki citizenship vaste konni houses konedapudu 5L unte adi 3L ala ichestaru means ur gaining 2L$... appudu evo docs sign cheyyali.. judt like that we cant cancel singapore citizenship... genral ga min 15 years unataru anukunta citizen kinda.. taravata 99% evaru cancel cheskoru..

No max limit for PR.. there are people who are on PR status from past 20 years... PR renewal is very easy thing. Renew thru online and its a 2 day process.
Citizenship koste konchem restrictions untayi , kanee anta tough kadu. oka 1 term (5 years) PR poorti sesi manchi manager alanti posityion unte citizwnship ostadi. But ur indian citizwnship will be cancelled. and getting back indian citizenship is almost immpossible once it is cancelled.
