YDERABAD: Although the central leadership of the Congress is understood to have cleared the name of Andhra Pradesh finance minister K Rosaiah as the caretaker CM of the state, speculation is rife over who will be anointed the successor of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday.
As Reddy, popularly called YSR, ran a tightly controlled administration and most of the key decisions were taken by the chief minister's office, he had no clear No. 2 calling the shots. This makes the task of the Congress leadership difficult.
Apart from Rosaiah, the names being mentioned include Union ministers Jaipal Reddy and Purandeswari, the daughter of the late NTR.

There is no administration in the state.
If something bad were to happen, I doubt old dog Rosayya is capable of handling the situation.
