Jhonny baa, chinna info, babri masjid is a blunder and great mistake and congress has the major share in that sin, coz tappu jareugutundi ani telisi kooda kavalani odilesaru, appati PM PV.Narasimha rao also. I respect ur opinions on congress, but evaroo pattittulu kadu. this is my opinion, i hope u will respect my right to express opinions.

You were highly courageous and forthright when you commented that the Muslims who support Pakistan against the interest of India are traitors of India. No other film (including Hindi flicks) dared to call spade a spade. Were you not afraid of it?
I don't shrink back to evade from the common responsibility to say truth and cinema is a powerful media. That is the reason why I had that dialogue in Khadgam. Back of my mind, I was little afraid that somebody might attack me. But I was single (unmarried) at that time and I was prepared to get attacked if needed. I might not make the same statement if I have to now because I am currently married. But I feel that when I make a comment, I make it on the system/issues, but not on individuals. It was done in noble intentions.

Mahatma’s theme is good and but narration is pretty ordinary. Krishnavamsi seems to have completely lost his 'touch' . Performances of Srikanth and Jayaprakahs Reddy and Sirivennela’s title song stand out.
Similarities: EVV directed Rajashekar and Raasi starrer Neti Gandhi has similarities with this film’s plotline. Not entirely but has some resemblance.

The plus point of the film is that it has a few messages for all those who are willing to take it. "Don't have to respect Gandhi but don't use him for your selfish needs." There is a scene in which a baby touches a knife during a ceremony and the family gloats over it. Some dialogues are striking 'amma ni chooste amma anipinchali nee ammani kaadhu'.
Whatever it is, the film ends up as a mix of message and commercial stuff, dances, fights et al. It is also an eye-opener for politicians who crave for power and want the power to pass over to their family. All in all to ask people to repose faith in Gandhi, Krishna Vamsi the director should first believe in him, his ideals. The last scene is a dampner and the film despite some fantastic work by Srikanth ends up as pseudo attempt to dust Gandhi and pull out the umpteen political flags that are entangled on his stick. An average film.
