Spotlight: It's Named As 'Bhuwaneshwari Syndrome'
The film industry is one place where there are many phenomenon and syndromes happening. While some relate to movies, some relate to behind the screen activities. But then, there are some that actually deal with the real lives of those involved in the entertainment circuit. Usually, such syndromes are on the higher side but with the passing of time, they fade out. However, one syndrome that has currently caught up the southern film circuit and looks to be shaking the very integrity of the industry is the recent arrest of the sex bomb Bhuwaneshwari in Chennai.
Apparently, she was in the midst of prostitution when she was caught red handed and things got more complicated after she started to reveal names that hold a strong reputation in the movie circuit. While the war has begun between the journalists and the film industry in Kollywood, this is serving like a warning notice to all those who are said to be indulging in such activities. The open secret shared by many in the film industry is such pleasures of sex are an integral part of career and survival.
For some, it also becomes the source of livelihood. So right now, the Bhuwaneshwari syndrome has caught up with those who are indulging in flesh trade and they are taken this as a term. This has become more like a code language and the name of Bhuwaneshwari seems to have become synonymous for having sex or trying to seek escort services. For now, the situation looks heated up in the Kollywood area, thanks to Bhuwaneshwari and if things go this way, then chances are that Tollywood might also be dragged into the controversy soon. So as long as the issue is hot, the Bhuwaneshwari syndrome also will make its presence felt strongly.
What remains to be seen is if some of the movie makers will use this incident as a track for their movies and come up with a scene or two about it in their movies. For now, it is all about Bhuwaneshwari and only time will tell when this syndrome will be taken over by some other one.
