Join me to the group.
I had gone through the torture and had to throw all beds,bedding etc.
Start over after apt guys got the qualified people treat it. They recommended to throw away beds,bedding and everything before they treat and i did the same.
They went away.
After one year i bought everything and again they showed up again. Had to throw everything away again and they treated it second time.
So far for 2 years they didn't show up again.
Tingari maama if you are bachelor throw all your bedding away, wash all your clothes. check your luggage, that is prime culprit. Ask the apt guy to come and treat, they will lift the carpet and treat it and also in the power outlets. That work we can't do on our own. Don't waste your money.

vaake annai, will try to get professional help. kakapothe in my prev apt, professional help did not much either. we were constantly spraying the alcohol on most places every other day, as it is not posionous.

a) is only postponing the inevitable
b) more reason for them to build colonies.
The bugs die pretty soon - but it is the eggs - they are miniscule and are camoflouged in the carpet. They build colonies on the wooden frame ( or the headrest if you have only the headrest) the box spring and most importantly also on the steel frame that supports your bed.
Keep in mind that if it is a rental - you should be happy about the money part(as it is paid for but the ffort is absolutely the same) - but if it is a house you own like I do there are a few issues:
a) If creeps up to the switch boards and travel through the powerlines to other rooms. They travel only during the night and when the heater is on as the need warmth.
b) If you go for a cheaper alternative whithough going for pest control - they will almost always re-rmerge.
c) The clothing in the room has to be soaked in hot water PERIOD. A coin laundry will work out better - again all clothing in the house becuase of the eggs.
d) If you have kids - it is a whole different ball game. Most of their clothing cannot be reused at all.
Please seek PROFESSIONAL HELP ASAP - any work around (steam vaccum etc) will only add to the cost as your chances of success are only gauranteed with professional help - that with constat inspections/applications for a period of two months.

Bed bugs require warm place... so winter lo neekemi problem undadhu... unless u r in hot belt..
Detailed gaa what I did after the bed bugs infestation:
1. I threw my beds and box springs.
2. reported to my apt office.. those guys asked me to get some bugs in a cover ... they submitted to the pest guys for review and once its confirmed that they are bed bugs they scheduled a spray appointment....
3. i had to do lot of preparations before they come to spray... wash and dry all clothes and bed sheets, pillows and put them in a cover... i had to clean all the closets and dump every thing into covers and keep them in the middle of room... did a thorough vacumm of the house... we need to empty the suit cases and keep them open... okka maatalo cheppaalante.. Illu kalee chese tapudu chese packing chesaam... Keep the kitchen and bathroom doors closed.
3. They sprayed two times in a span of three weeks...
4. i called them for another inspection after a month .. they surveyed the house and said no problems...
5. i have not used any powders or sprays by myself..but you can try on ur own
I am not having any bed bug issues in the past two months.. I am living in the same aprtment..
