quote:However, on a careful and dispassionate analysis of the fast paced developments from the day the announcement on Telangana was made till the adjournment of the State Assembly today, one could see the diligent and farsighted political game plan of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi to not only prevent an explosive situation in the state but also pulling the reins of a galloping TRS by putting the separate state issue on the back burner. The articulate action of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi has all the indelible mark of her late mother-in-law Indira Gandhi who successfully crushed the 1969 Telangana agitation and tamed the Telangana Praja Samithi which was in the forefront of the then movement. Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is fully aware that Rosaiah is no YSR. The former Chief Minister not only cut the wings of the TRS but also outwitted his own party leaders who had hoisted a banner of revolt against him on the Telangana issue. Having installed a “weakling” like Mr. Rosaiah as the Chief Minister after YSR’s sudden demise and seeing through the desperate moves of KCR to resurrect a fading TRS party, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi seem to have decided that it was high time for her to take control of the situation instead of depending on the Chief Minister. And thus she put her well hatched plan into action. First it was the surprising midnight announcement which helped soothe the ruffled feelings in the Telangana region and made KCR withdraw his fast. Second the clever move in preventing the immediate tabling of a resolution on Telangana in the Assembly by “maneuvering” to adjourn the State Assembly sine die. Mrs. Sonia Gandhi also has succeeded in putting the TDP President Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu in a piquant situation with his party vertically divided on the Telangana issue.
Its waste of time impressing people as impressions keep changing
