New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has registered a case with the Chennai police against former IPL chief Lalit Modi on grounds of misappropriation of funds to the tune of approximately Rs 470 crore. BCCI secretary N Srinivasan met with Chennai Police Comissioner to register the case. The embezzlement of funds includes money from media rights, security and commercial airtime. Just a day earlier, the franchisees had claimed that the board had sent out a warning to the IPL team owners of toeing their line. The BCCI had retorted strongly saying that there were no such messages thet they were involved in and had also filed a police complaint. Prateekaramey Parama Sopanam - Mahabharatham
