Maree darunamga tayaravutondi. hatya ayyaka kona oopiri tho unappudu water kosam adigina evaroo ivaled anta. case colse chesestaremo inka. witness eavaroo kooda munduku ravatledu . Nagpur: Engineering student Monica Kirnapure was killed eleven days ago in broad daylight when she was on her way to her college in Nagpur. The murder took place in front of scores of people, but shockingly none have come forward to help the police in their investigation. Without clues the police investigation has hit a dead-end, resulting in no arrests yet. "I was so proud that I would be the mother of an engineer," said Vandana Kirnapure, the inconsolable mother of Monica during a condolence meeting. Vandana Kirnapure's dreams got shattered on March 11, the day her daughter Monica was murdered. On March 11 at around 10.30 am Monica left her hostel for college. At around 11 am, as she neared college, she was attacked by two knife-wielding men on a bike. Shockingly, as Monica lay bleeding on the street and crying for water no one came forward to help her until a bystander took her to hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. Strangely, several people in the area have denied any knowledge of the incident. "I did not see anything at all," said Ramesh Baiswan, a laundry man whose shop was open during the attack. The police say they're pursuing two leads, but cannot reveal them for fear of compromising the investigation. CNN-IBN learns they're investigating call records make from two mobile phones they've recovered. Meanwhile, the police inspector in charge has been transferred, under mounting pressure from the public. "The investigation is on and I am personally looking into the case," said Nagpur CP Dr Ankush Dhanvijay. Meanwhile Monica's death has shocked the student community in the city and they held a protest march demanding justice. "What happened to Monika may happen to anyone of us," said an angry student. Monica's parents have also appealed to the citizens of Nagpur. "Someone please come forward and give whatever information possible about the murder," said Monica's father Dashrat Kirnapure. Meanwhile, the police have promised to protect the identity of any witnesses who come forward. Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending
