All jdk come with a java compiler which is javac.exe
search for javac.exe.
It should be in jdk....../bin/javac.exe
if you can find one.Then jdk is installed.
Set path variable to get access from command prompt.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > JavaSoft > Java Development Kit
Note:
Caution should be exercised when traversing through the Registry Editor. Any changes to the keys and other entries may change the way your Windows operating system normally works. Even minor changes may result into catastrophic failures of the normal working of your machine. Better that you don't modify or tend to modify anything whilst you are in the Registry Editor.

nani baa ikkada maa dhantlo aa folder names jdk tho vundavu, veellaa convention eedho veru gaa vundhi......but I found the folder where java bin directories are there......so ippudu thelchalsindhi jdk installed aa leka only jre ee vundhaa system loo ani

JDK comes along with JRE. disk space ekkuva teekuntadi
JRE doesn't come along with jdk.
check whether jdk is installed or not:
C:\Program files\ loki veltadi default gaa, mee system lo check cheskondi, andulo jdk1.6.0_20 ani folder undali, and system variable lo kooda set cheskondi. windows system aithey check in My Computer porperties -> Advanced Tab -> Environment variables -> System Variables lo JAVA_HOME ni configure cheskondi.
example: JAVA_HOME C:\Program Files\j2sdk1.4.2_01
Unix lo aithey environment variables lo set cheskondi.
