-) you need to understand that this biz runs only 5days a week. so get the numbers right.
-) Workout the math including transportation cost. Pass the cost to customer as delivery cost based on distance.
-) your model is based on volume and not margin per se. so need to do the math to understand target volume and if you can gain such volume in realistic time
-) I see longer queues for health food than for regular fare. So having a health menu with cut fruits and light sandwich should also be good. However here, you have up the ante with the canteen guy and differentiate yourself.
-) Check if folks running canteen get any handouts from property owners/tenants. If yes, there will be price war as they will have certain margin to lower the price
Why dont you look for online partnership with an established caterer. That way you are responsible only for transportation/online order management and flexible to change the partner based on convenience and location |
