Esperanza:It's an absurd dismissal. The ball was dead.VVS was on the back foot, he has left the ball and was preparing to face the next ball. In that process he slightly lifted his back foot. It is ridiculous for the wicket keeper to stump him even as he is preparing to face the next ball. Unfortunate since Laxman was clearly focused and would have definitely scored many more runs.

ball keeper chetilokellaka well left chesi...he was going to his batting stride for the next ball as he was facing a spinner...no attempt for a run or no tripping over the crease during this process. so strongly believe thats not a legetimate dismissal
