we cannot blame KRR completely for Pandu rangadu.. he was in the most disadvantageous position after OM became an universal disaster..
They planned to make the movie in a BIG way but has to cut down the budget and wrapped it so cheap as the saleability of Balayya was almost zero at that time..
Tabu place lo anushka/melton anukunnaru.. locations were also chosen in Kerala but cheap gaa ramoji studio lo laaginchesaaru... |

i didnt read the whole review but i did read the balakrishna part
see my take on it is pretty simple
do ever do something done by ANNA garu
atkeast not those mythilogicals he did
we all grew up watching him play those characters
if GOD has face it has to be something like NTR
doesnt matter who does it or how good they do it
you just cant better perfection
i did watch the movie , and i can say its no match the ooriginal
just imagine RAMA and see anyone in out heads sir
NTRrrr , oh my god why do ppl even try
uh just thinking how GODly he looks how can u convince telugu folks that anybody could be RAMA OR KRISHNA OR RAVANA OR OR OR ..... |

His shot selection and portrayal are also very artistic which of course is his trademark. KRR is also artistic but more from a mass POV.

Mee statement lo kontha arguement lekapoledu. But KRR was successful in elevating the character of Annamayya,Ramadasu by embedding commercial elements. In both the movies the protagonist was shown to be indifferent and enjoying "rakti" before advancing to "bhakti" and consequently "mukti". You start to sympathize with the characters and Bhakti bhavam peruguthindi - and he is at his best with the climax. It is like an opera where it starts to trickle, then flow and there is a GUSH at the end.
Annamayya lo cheppulu lekunda konda ekke scene.
Swamy vacchel pallaki mose scene.
Annamayya guidlo climax.
Ramadasu lo pilladu poyinappudu tandri baadha pade scene.
Ramadasu lo Golkonda nunchi bayatapdi - Bhagvanatatudu tho vileenam ayyedaka vacche sequence.
However the "Rakthi-Bhakti-Mukti" - route failed in Pandurangadu - because the character was not as familiar as Ramadasu or Annammaya - other issues notwithstanding.
Bapu garu - aa type of elevation cheyaleru - and as a matter of fact cheyyaru. IT is not his style. Remember that he has his own share of mishaps with his style.
SRR is a completely well visualized movie that had played in Bapu's mind for years. He had thought, drawn and digested the movie before the first clap - Singh

Osceola:In my opinion KRR should learn from Bapu on how to make a Mythological movie with out dilluting the script and add stupid comedy and scenes.

I could not find time to write my review on my movie Sri Rama Rajyam as I was busy at work. Here it is:
Review
I will not talk about the story as most of us know it already.
Performances:
ANR:
I am not qualified enough to review his performance. the legend is phenominal as Valmiki. He still has that intensity in his eyes at the age of 80+. Hatsoff to the legend. He even evoked some smiles when he mentions to Sita about Balaraju("Dookudekkuva with a smile).
Balayya: What Can I say? He is splendid as Lord Rama. The opening shot where he is coming down in Pushpaka Vimanam is when you get to see him smiling gracefully at the screen and turning his head away. I was awestruck as how much he resembles Anna NTR in long shots. His performance is top notch as a human being who love his wife and agony when they are separated. He is perfect while renddering " Rama Rajyam ante mundhu Ramudu savinchina Rajyam tharuvathe Ramudu Palinchina Rajyam. When Bhadra tells him what people are thinking about him and Sita devi, his expressions(in my Opinion) are better than Anna garu. Yes I dare to say it. He gave very good performance when Sita's atma comes to see if he married another woman. The only negative I have to say about my hero is he should have toned down a bit or could have done this movie 5 to 6 years back. He needs to get botocs done as we can see some wrinkles under the eyes and on cheeks. His dialog delivery is perfect. He hardly got 45 mins of meaningful footage. The best part is his histrionics when Sita goes with Bhoodevi in Climax.
Nayanatara:
She gets the most footage of anyone in the movie. She is absolutely fantastic as Sita Devi. She excellent in pathos scenes. This is the best performance anyone in current generation can give for the role of Sita. Her expressions when Rama takes chintakayi and she shows a little bit of alaka is beautiful. She is sure to win National award. The footage helps her as well. She came out with flying colors.
Kids: excellent. Even though they might not be as cute as kids in Lava Kusa their performance is top notch. They are very expressive and their synchronization is a treat to watch during the songs.
Bala Raju(Bala Hanuma): Simply Outstanding. He made me cry in couple of scenes. His characterization is beautiful.
Srikanth: he performed his role very well.
Bapu - Ramana: The reason I mentioned Bapu, Ramana in the same line is there is no Bapu w/o Ramana and vice versa. They are perfect example for great friendship. Ramana's script has some changes from Lava Kusa. Who else can think of Sita being alone needs some one to cheer her up and create a character called Bala Raju. Hatsoff to the pair. Bapu's taking can be felt in each and every scene. Be it camera angles, the poetic narration or rendering of dialogs(for example Bhadra saying Rama Rajyam lo kastalu Vundavu kadhaaa). I am a big fan of this pair being the proud offspring of our culture. Not enough can be said about them regarding this movie. They just rocked.
Producer: As I said earlier, he should be appreciated for all the money, hard work, dedication he put forward for this project. It's a shame that we don't have many producers like him. Without his dedication and resolve, the project would not have materialized.
Technical team: Excellent Graphics and Art work. There is a scene in devulle mechindhi song where women are crying listening to the story. The costumes of men are apt but the womens' costumes should have been better.
My Maestro Ilayaraja:
There is a reason why he is called Legend of modern Music. The songs on the screen are awesome provided you watch the movie in a theatre with good sound system.
The rerecording is the best he has done till date and I would say better than any recent Mythological movies in 90s or 2000s. He gave life to the scenes with his rerecording.
The movie:
This is a master piece. Do not compare this movie with Lava Kusa. Those are the days for Mythological movies. The original was almost 4 hours long. This movie is 2: 45 mins. This is the best anyone can do in these days. In my opinion KRR should learn from Bapu on how to make a Mythological movie with out dilluting the script and add stupid comedy and scenes.
I am not going to rate this movie with numbers but if you don't want to watch this movie in theater there is something wrong with you. Do not watch this movie trying to identify any mistakes. watch this movie as a movie lover. These kind of movies will be rare. I don't know about the box office fate but it will be a shame if it fails at box office.
