he recent release ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ came in with a lot of hype and of course, a lot of budget too. However, it was noticed that the opening response to the film was not as strong as expected. However, just like a quality mythological film, reports are flowing that the film has begun to pick up now.
The film has reached the second weekend and reports from multiplexes like Cinemax are that the shows are going housefull. Not only that, the advance booking is also showing full for the two days. With no booking for two full days, the makers say this is a good signal.
Even the famous multiplex like Prasads has been recording 70%-90% occupancy on weekdays and it is increasing during the weekends. The cine pundits feel that the film seems to have picked up slowly but steadily.

If there is one thing which is very difficult to predict, it is the pulse of the audience and how they will judge a film. History has shown that some of the unexpected movies became big hits while the promising ones became duds. And sometimes films start great but fizzle out in between.
Right now, one film is under discussion. This is 'Sri Rama Rajyam' and the trade pundits are saying that it has become like slow poison. Apparently, the film started off with huge openings and eventually there was a dip in the collections and the audience response.
But now, it is heard that the film has begun to show upward trend again and family audience have begun thronging the theatres. Reports say that stand alone theatres are recording 80%-90% occupancy during weekdays and weekends are going housefuls. Same is the case with multiplexes.
