With the Central Bureau of Investigation speeding up investigation into the illegal assets case of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and the multi-crore Emaar case, the Kadapa MP is planning to gain as much sympathy as possible from the people.
The arrest of Jagan's relative and personal assistant N Sunil Reddy in connection with the Emaar case by the CBI authorities on Tuesday has definitely created panic in the YSR Congress party camp.
While the party spokespersons made all accusations against CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana for targetting Jagan and his relatives, Jagan's office issued a press statement for the first time criticising the highhanded behaviour of the CBI officials in arresting Sunil Reddy.
And Jagan himself gave vent to his frustration while addressing the gathering at his Odarpu Yatra in Guntur in the evening.
"The CBI is harassing me and my family members. It is obvious that the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party have colluded against me. They want to see that there is no place for any third party in the state. Instead of resorting to such dirty politicking and harassing me like this, they can straightaway shoot me dead," Jagan said in a fit of emotion.
Apparently, Jagan has realised that the day is not far off when the CBI will arrest him. And so, he is preparing ground among the people! |
