CBI gives clean chit to Naidu in Emaar case!!!
That the Central Bureau of Investigation is trying to protect Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu in the controversial Emaar Properties case was once again evident on Wednesday.
Right from the beginning, the YSR Congress party has been saying that the agreement between APIIC and Emaar Properties signed during the Chandrababu Naidu regime on August 19, 2003, had a clause on assignment of development rights to a third party.
In fact, Sakshi published this piece of document in the past and again on Wednesday. It was this agreement, which led to Emaar, roping in MGF do develop the villa plots in the Gachibowli township and later, Stylish Homes to market the plots.
But the CBI made a different argument. In its remand petition filed before the special court on Wednesday, the CBI officials said though the agreement was signed to enable the Emaar Properties engaging a third party to develop the plots, there was no permission for the same from the then government (read Naidu government), as no GO was issued to that effect. It was only after YSR took over as the Chief Minister, the agreement was executed and the Emaar had brought in a third party as a developer in in 2005 and that led to the whole scam, it said.
It clearly shows that the CBI has come to the conclusion that Naidu was clean in the Emaar scam. If it were to be true, does the CBI think Naidu had no role in the APIIC-Emaar agreement? |
