The Justice B N Srikrishna Committee constituted to look into the demand for Telangana state or otherwise, has received more than 65,000 reports from various sections of people and political parties.

And does the committee really look into such voluminous reports? Well, according to Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former state unit president Bandaru Dattatreya, most of the reports have already found their way into the dustbin. “It is all trash. The constitution of Srikrishna committee is nothing but a delaying tactic of the Congress party-led UPA government. It does not want to give Telangana state at all. It only wants to buy time to bring down emotions among the people,” Dattatreya said.

He said the Srikrishna Committee report would have nothing much to say about Telangana and even if it makes any recommendations, they are not binding on the government, which does not need to implement the same.
