Sources say at the meeting between the Producers’ Council and Movie Artistes Association, a decision was taken to improve the working conditions and reduce the cost of production.
In order to make sure small budget films run in theatres they will allow a max period upto 16 weeks. There is already a committee for the cost of production,
A new one called a reporting committee has been set up with 15 members. A few of them are Mohan Vadlapatla, Sivaji, Teja, Kodali Venkateswara Rao, Tagore Madhu, Dil Raju, Suresh, Ravi Kishore, Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna, etc.

SURESH BABU PERCENTAGE PHENOMENON.

Suresh Babu is producing the movie in the direction of Teja. Teja is not taking the remuneration but kept his percentage of share in profits. Similar thing happened to Srinu Vaitla as well for the movie ‘Namo Venkatesa’.
Suresh Babu has intelligently started this ‘percentage phenomenon’ for two benefits-
1. Cost Cutting
2.To extract seriousness and better attention from director.
That is a great move in the interest of Tollywood producers.
But on the other hand, directors are worried if Suresh Babu’s office shows genuine records in profits.

and getting theatres and releasing the film is impossible part.
There are 120 theatres [ in NIZAM Area alone] in the control of
suresh babu out of 120, 40 theatres are in Hyderabad city alone.
He runs business [nearly 40 theatres] in the name of sunil [asian films -Benami of suresh babu- that is open secret] and rest of 80 theatres he is going to run [ latest decision by sureshbabu ] in the name of Multidimension entertainment pvt ltd/ratna celluloids both floated by karvy group,mr ram mohan rao is looking after this.
even if the original theatre owner wants to run the theatre they wont give the big films to them as most of the films are bought by these 4.
so out of no choice they are forced to give their theatres to lease.
BIG 4 TAKE THE LEASE FOR 10% [OF THEATRE GROSS] AND CHARGE 25% FROM THE BUYER/PRODUCER SO COOL PROFIT FOR THEM
AS PER THE ESTIMATE THEY ARE MAKING 10 CRORES PROFIT FROM THE THEATRES ALONE. SO THEY WONT LEAVE THIS BUSINESS
IF SOME BODY SHOUTS OR TRIES TO MAKE BIG ISSUE [LIKE Natti kumar...] for them they give the theatres on percentage basis
if these guys leave the theatres lease business then thousands of families will celebrate deepawali
[EG: in anantapur town out of 14 theatres 9 are under suresh babu and 4 are under bigcinema so what ever terms they ask the buyer has to release was there is no other way]

if one theatre housefull capacity is 30,000/- per show and ad 28 shows per week i.e 8,40,000/-[ gross]
deduct 7% ent tax i.e 7,81,200/- [nett]
so we are asking 10% in 8,40,000/- i.e 84,000/- as fixed rent and balance collection let us take share.
but they are charging 2 to 2.90 laks as rent then what will the small producer get after tax cut even in 40 to 50% occupency
we have to deduct print and publicity and 10% distributors commission , then the producer gets zero or have to pay back to them in reverse

IMP : RECENTLY THEY HAVE TAKEN A NEW DECISION i.e TO FORM SYNDICATE SO THAT THEY WONT HAVE COMPETETION AMONG THEMSELVES IN BUYING THE BIG FILMS FOR NIZAM AREA ,
SO NOW THEY WILL FIX THE AREA RATES.
BIG FILMS WILL BE AROUND 15 YEARLY. [mahesh,ramcharan,ntr,pawan,bunny,prabhas,raviteja,nag,venky,ram,
balayya,nagachaitanya,rana,siddartha.] SO EACH WILL GET 4 TO 5 FILMS YEARLY.
SO THE PRODUCER HAS TO SELL THEIR FILM TO THESE 4 BUYERS OR GO FOR OWN RELEASE AGAIN THAT WILL BE DIFFICULT FOR THEM AS MOST OF THE THEATRES ARE IN THESE 4 CONTROL ONLY.
