Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been controlling his tongue for the last few days, once again sharpened it on Monday and made a couple of critical remarks against his rivals. “When my father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy died in a tragic helicopter crash, some leaders celebrated his death. The same leaders are worried about the kind of response I am getting from the people during the Odarpu Yatra. They are envious about my popularity,” Jagan said, addressing a huge gathering at Amalapuram, where he unveiled the statue of YSR.
Jagan, however, did not elaborate on his comments and he left it to the people’s guessing as to who those leaders were. Obviously, he was referring to so-called senior Congress leaders including chief minister K Rosaiah who is now glued to his post. The Kadapa MP is angry with Rosaiah for obstructing the ministers and MLAs from joining his tour.
“Some MLAs and big leaders are afraid of joining hands with me in the Odarpu Yatra, obviously under pressure. Yet, I am not worried. I have the complete support of all the people,” he said.
