I have two more months time on the passport. Mine expires in late november. I am going to Houston on 15th of this month. |

Also, from my knowledge tatkal only works if you current passport isn't expired. Not sure though if they process tatkal too after the passport expired too. Fir any reason if they can't process ur appl in tatkal then it takes 6-8 weeks which is a bit sad and frustrating

Also I suggest you to tripple check for all the necessary docs before leaving to Houston. CGI people aren't very kind/helpful

If I remember correctly, yes you have to. But if its not possible you can call them and see what their procedures are. When U went to CGI NY, I saw people walkin with their documents. Its better and advisable to take aapointment.
Also better go early like before 8. I am really surprised by the turnout at cgi ny.
