Mumbai: A 25-year-old in Mumbai was allegedly raped by four people and then burnt alive at Antop Hill in Mumbai.
Mumbai Police officials said that the woman later died in hospital. They also claimed that all the four people accused of raping and burning the woman have been arrested.
According to the police the accused first raped the woman and then poured kerosene on her and set her on fire. She succumbed to her injuries at the Sion Hospital on Tuesday.
The accused have been identified as Rajesh Devendra, Kumar Devendra, Nitya Devendra and Shankar Mudaliyar.
"Police are investigating this case. In the investigation the facts will come out. At this moment it is enough that the four accused have been arrested very quickly and we are concentrating all efforts in the investigation of this case," said Sanjay Baviskar, DCP, Mumbai Police.
