slumdog manchi movie naa kaada annadi kaadu na point. whether it deserves that many oscars annadi Q. in my opinion, it's not. as 420 said, it's pathetic and painful to watch the movies those highlight only negatives about India. as if there are no good things there. one more thing, I hate british with passio
can't agree more, I felt BB was made for oscars, like casteaway(even thou it didn't win), I hate movies in that genre...for some reason I didn't feel the movie the same way david fincher's previous movies were...

Benjamin joined a shipping crew with a ruthless captain who never paid his crew members.Unlike other crew members Benjamin worked hard under his captain though he never got paid. This made the captain to have a soft corner for Benjamin. The crew members considered Benjamin trustworthy and some even enrusted him with their earnings. When the boat and the crew were guarding some coast after the Pearl harbour event, they got attacked by enemies and most of the crew members including the captain dies. But Benjamin somehow survives the attack. The story of Forrest Gump is somewhat similar.
Forrest worked under Lt. Dan during the Vietnam war. Forrest lost many of his friends in war but somehow he saved Lt. Dan from death. Lt. Dan found both of his legs chopped off because of serious injuries . Later after several years Lt. Dan joined Forrest in a shrimping boat. Both the stories have war and the life in a boat as a common factor.
Futher more, both stories are told in the same fashion and tone. In Forrest Gump he(Forrest) narrates his story in his own perspective. Whereas in the case of Benjamin Button his daughter reads his diary to Daisy. Both movies have many emotional factors in common, such as a man's emotions and feelings when others consider him as a strange one. Both movies are related to war and also depict sailor's life(or life on water).

Jenny finds music as her passion and works her way out to present herself in the public in different ways. Daisy gets fond of dancing. Because of her talents in dancing, she becomes a famous ballet dancer. On one side Jenny tries to keep away from Forrest although she loves him and puts Forrest down whenever he tries to convince his love for her. On the other side Daisy puts Benjamin down inorder to keep her career bright, fighting against her love for Benjamin. But as the movie rolls Jenny comes back to Forrest and spends time with him and becomes his partner. In the same way, Daisy who feels sorry for Benjamin comes back and lives with him.

First of all, both the films 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' and 'Forrest Gump' have writer Eric Roth as common factor. He has performed screenplay in both films.
When we compare the two stories we can see many astonishing coincidences. Forrest Gump had weak legs as a boy and he was made to have crutches inorder to straighten his crooked back, in the same way Benjamin Button too had deformations and arthritis in his legs, but when they grew up, both of them recovered. While Forrest Gump was born as an unintelligent boy with low I.Q Benjamin Button was born pre-maturely old. Both of them found their own special girls during their childhood. Hyderabad Buzz: Gay website gains in popularity
Hyderabad: Homosexual community in the city is slowly emerging out of the closet and asserting its rights and sharing its angst, albeit in the virtual world. A small group of city-based gay and lesbian men and women have come up with a website called www.prathibimb.com, which asserts their pride in being a homosexual.
The website which came up on February 14, as a symbolic venture to claim gay rights on Valentine’s Day, is gaining popularity among members of the community who were looking for a gay/lesbian solidarity site.
The group which has around 10 members, a bunch of youngsters who are either studying or working, is now busy charting meetings and programmes to spread the word about the website.
One of the founder members of the website and a research scholar of English and Foreign Languages University (Eflu), Andy Silveira said that the group was formed to “create a space for the gay community in Hyderabad where they could express their thoughts on sexuality”.
“The homosexual community in other metros like Mumbai are visible whereas in Hyderabad, the community restricts itself to homes and other private spaces. We wanted the community in the city and the state of Andhra Pradesh to share experiences and thoughts with others,” said Silveira.
The website has poems, essays and memoirs penned by the gay and lesbian community members.

Manager, a friend of mine (he is a muslim) watched the movvie, and said its of the best movies of SRK and will be best movie of 2010
I didnt want to shift the disc in to argument , so i said ok and diverted the disc. i donnow its in ttheir blood. some of them never think they are indians, they think themselves as citizens with special priviliges (can abuse any one in the name of minorities and get fuc**ing reservation introduces by some waste fellows)
