Thumbee's I have Type 2 Diabetes .. meaning my body is still producing insulin , but not enough to absorb the excess glucose that is floating in my blood stream. Type 2 can be controlled with Oral medications like Metaformin and Glimepiride. Medication are only half the deal . Other half is your eating habits ,what you eat , how much you eat etc and stress . One way to control Type 2 is Oral Medication or extra insulin to compensate the shortage in your body and limit the intake etc and exercise like brisk walking for 40 min . With oral medication we tend to screw our liver in the long run , since medications are chemicals. But with insulin you do not hit ur liver ,but you have to endure the prick everyday. For Type 1 , there is no choice but Insulin injections .. because your body stops producing insulin. Type 1 is inherited with Genes and Type2 is mostly due to life style or inherent problems in your liver due to excess drinking , janudice or viral infections etc Knit India,do not split India !
