Fanno1:

For me it didnt make any sense spirituality going with this discounts.

I had similar experience where I failed to understand their motives and commercialization, DB lo cheppanemo gurthu ledu

ittanti oka organization whose main goal as they say is propagate Bhagavadgita and make it reach to everyone.

The head of the organization one swamy, gave a complete discourse in USA for almost one month which includes explanation of each and every sloka of Gita.

So they publicize that so that people can take advantage of the discourse. One of my close friend who got a glimpse of it got very much deep into it and wanted listen completely. When we approached the organization for those videos, they said each chapter is included in a DVD and 18 chapters plus additional stuff costs around 750$.

We got shocked and asked him it is 750$ how can some one afford, why cant you give this at an affordable price so that more can take advantage and the goal of organization can be met.

He said, it was very costly affair to get that recorded and they cannot give them for any less price. If someone is really interested, they will pay for it and there will be no misuse of it. We are not here for charity, we are non-profit organization. So we take the amount to actually get the DVD.

My friend was dejected and was upset. He was contemplating to buy it for 650$. But was wondering how can me accumulate that money, So desperate he was.

Then I did some search in internet for almost a week and found audio version of it, and gave him the CD of MP3. He not only heard it twice, his perspective of life changed, he is lot happier compared to before listening to the Gita.

WE distributed to around 20 persons who really are wanting it, and basically that was the organization wanted, but they couldn't do it as they were cost oriented.

I know morally and ethically what I did was wrong, but that act changed more than 20 persons positively is what I don't repent doing it. Of course those 20 persons don't know how did they get the audio and it was me was the source.

Sometimes I think when Krishna told Gita to Arjuna for free, how can these guys make it commercial??
