these are the following normally offered in the US/Canada by employer with group rates (which are much lesser than if you were to buy outside). 1) Basic life insurance (normally 1x base salary and premium is covered by employer) 2) Voluntary life insurance (its optional and coverage limit varies for each company, premium paid by employee) 3) Voluntary AD&D (optional and same as in #2) 4) Critical illness (optional and same as in #2) 5) Spousal critical illness (same as above) 6) Spousal voluntary life (optional and normally limit to 500k, premium paid by employee) 7) Long-term disability (employer will have minimum coverage but there will be an option to increase this to 60% salary + COLA) 8) Business travel accident (company covers this with 2x salary standard) 9) Dependent voluntary AD&D (optional) 10) Dependent voluntary life (optional) Apart from the above you will have regular medical and dental coverage anywhere from 80% to 90% of the cost being covered for drugs and procedures. It is advisable to take max allowed life insurance, Critical illness and Long-term disability coverage.
