Even IIT's have teaching staff crisis, and dont even talk about the quality of teaching staff in most of the colleges. Where there is need/issue, just fill/fix it. |

One of the best business in coming years will be to start education institute in India working with good universities in US or Canada.
Why US is powerful so far and even if it goes down temporarily it will bounce back strongly for two reasons.
1) Good education, and the research that goes in these universities.
2) Law and Order
Education in India is pathetic in one simple word. I did my B.Tech in Chemical engg in Andhra University, and after that worked on my MS in 100th ranked university. For chemical engg, andhra university is one of the best in India, but still far inferior to the programme in 100th ranked university in USA. No practical education, and most of the degree colleges are run by politicains etc. This can be fixed easily by working out with foreign universities. It just started, but this business will do very well in the next 25 years. |

A reliable Logistics network in India?
India lo currently we dont have any reliable logistics network that can reach even to villages.
DTDC lantivi vunnai but not that good.
Now that big players like Amazon (through flipkart) are entering indian market, the need for a 3PL player like UPS or Fedex is much more in Indian market. I am not sure about the complexities of operating the model in india though.

based on my info, where ever you provide the rent is same in both A/B grade cities. If you lease for 9 yrs, may be in 5 yrs you will get the investment back and then after the lease (if they don't want to continue), you can plan something else in the land and with the building OR someother school/ college.

Naaku "venture development" ani oka course vundi ee semester lo. one of the assignments is that I have to come up with 3 back of the envelope type ideas and write a page or two about each idea. this is gate 1 i.e., screening stage. once I come up with an idea (in the next few weeks) that works, then I will have to work on a complete business plan.
I am thinking of outsourcing this to smart fellas here. Any great ideas. Edava poo chetha kaakunda konchem brain use chesi ideas provide cheyavalasindi ga request tho koodina demand sethanna..

I have the following:
1) Sport complex - I see a lot of demand for in-door badminton and tennis courts in this city. How about leasing land and construct a ware house with in-door courts or rent a warehouse and convert into in-door courts?
2) Some of us discussed about guar beans and gum industry. How about leasing land in India or Africa and go for a large scale guar farming? or make a long term agreements with the farmers and enter in to the processing side of the business?
