Congress will not be able to rollback the decision like it did in 2009 because of the upcoming elections. But we can't underestimate Congress mark politics. They might rollback and are quite capable of shamelessly campaigning in both regions with exactly opposite manifesto.
In Telangana, they will pose as if they have desperately tried to give Telangana which had to be rolled back due to protest from TDP and YSRCP. If Telanganaites believe that n+1 th time, they can vote for congress or if they don't believe and hate congress they will vote for TRS. Either way Congress purpose is served because they can easily manage TRS post elections. A small threat to them will be if Telangana seeking people unanimously vote for BJP hating Congress and not trusting TRS which is very unlikely.
In Seemandhra they will pose as if they only can keep the state united despite TDP and other parties giving letters in favour of Telangana. They will tell SA people that if they don't vote for Congress BJP will come to power and divide the state. SA may believe and vote for Congress or doesn't believe and vote for YSRCP. Either way Congress is happy as YSRCP is another form of Congress that can be traded any day by bailing out Jagan. SA voting for TDP is a small risk Congress has to take. |
