There are many things which are looking fine to me as they are normal behavior with Indian kids.
same pinch. I too have the same feeling. I didnt find any thing different other than potty trained by now. OMesh said he is 4-5 weeks away from that, so that also is not an issue at all.
May be OM take some parenting classes, put your kid more with lot of other kids and spend time with him with non-stop interaction and then go for all the tests.

Am glad there is some one like us. Maa peddodu ee movie enni sarlu choosado lekka ledu, 100 is very small number.
Kakapote good thing entante, we met Hero Raja in a flight from Vizag to hyd. Inka vadi anandam cheppalem flight mottam hadavidi chesadu.. Raja spent entire flight with him. My son couldnt believe that the person is real at that age.
Now he doesnt even want to talk about it..

Last 6 weeks Swimming ki velladu. as he is not potty trained mommy and me class ki register cheyinchaaru.. andulo literal ga emi cheppaledu.. and inka potty train avvaledu kabatti advanced mommy and me next session annaru.. vaddule ani ee session ki manpinchesaamu... last week nunchi play school ki veltunnadu. so akkada kooda potty train ki help chestunnaru.. so hope fully in next 5, 6 weeks he should be potty trained.. so we can join him to swimming class, where he can go alone and they can teach him.. manam vunte vallu emi cheppatam ledu...

Bottom line - take the things from these so called therapists with a pinch of salt. Not every symptom will lead to what they predict
Na point ide.. nenu kooda new songs nachithe repeated mode lo vinta for days.. Most of the days to and fro from work I listen to the same song until I like some other song. Its in our jeans, so Danni veellu disorder antaaru.. Danni ela kaadu ani cheppalo ardham kavatam ledu..

OM thammudu very sorry to hear this ... Mana brothers chala mandhi already suggestions chesaaru. I went through this issue in my family too (not my kids). Please try doing the following, that will greatly help your kid and your family too :
(1) Consult a pediatrician. Don't go to a specialist directly (Autism). If possible consult an Indian Pediatrician. They know our kids better
(2) Make a log of what your kid does in various situations. Some of these things may or may not be repetitive. Still log them. It greatly helps when you discuss with the Dr. And keep this log for sometime (like an year or two until all doubts are cleared)
(3) If possible bring your parents or in-laws to here. Though we think they will have more people to connect with in India, kids will long to be with their parents no matter what. So, try to give that to your kid too
(4) Don't Google. It is extremely difficult to follow, but restrain yourself from doing so. We are not doctors/specialists
(5) Avoid the neighbors/friends who try to treat you/your kid different. They will do more harm
Inkaa food habits ante - maa vaadu 14 years still does not like to eat everything or try new things. Valla amma or nenu pedithey TV chusthu anni velli pothaayi. Trust me that is not an issue. Kids not mingling with other kids/adults is quite common. Maa ammayi asalu mammalni vadiledhi kaadu until we came to Canada. Ikkada manchi friends kalisaaru and I keep complaining to her that she is not talking to me that often .

nenu maa kid ki test cheyisthe autism ani chepparu when he was 3 years as his motor skills were low and he was repetitive.. Maatalu kooda late ga cheppadu.. Maa friend valla baabu ki kooda same ani cheppaaru..
Fast forward maa vaadiki ippudu 8 years and it seems to be low end of ADHT, appudappudu fidgeting chesthadu, antaku minchi he is normal. Whereas my friends relocated to india and their kid is quite normal.. ido pedda scam anipisthundi naaku..
But, you always have to watch your son for some stereo typed behaviour..
* Come out of denial stage where you don't want to accept that he has autism. Do everything you can to prove yourself wrong. There are so many resources here to help the kids with those behaviour (I hope it is not autism and may be flavours of ADHT)
* Hearing test cheyinchu
* Keep him busy and occupied always
Naaku inko doctor friend vunndu, valla abbayiki autism vundi anipisthundi, eppudu hmming chethuntaadu, evaritho eye contact cheyyadu etc..
Be brave and do whatever you can to keep him occupied. Sending to India will be the best option for one year if you have support in India. |

So you will need to bring him in mood. Focus on that..identify what brings him in mood and play accordingly.

Food habits are unique omesh. Dont worry about them. I have seen many struggle with kids related to their food until 4-5 years. Its pretty common. Dani gurinchi aithe I wouldn't worry at all. We will need to understand and act accordingly. First try to be as normal as possible. Dont be too magnifying. Ikkada support system leka we focus too much on minor issues too.. just remember how you grew up and correlate few things.

konchem pedda post OM baa, sorry..but just trying to explain what we went through so it might be helpful to you
we had a similar issue...our daughter was not talking to anyone and always used to stay only with my wife whereever we go (not playing with other kids etc)...we went to Pediatrician and he said as she got multiple ear infections(from abt 5 months age to 3 yrs) her hearing might have been impaired and she might have Speech delay...he asked us to go through the "Early Intervention" program to check the overall development..basically the County/state govt people will come to your home and evaluate the kid in various skills (Motor skills, Communication etc)...so we called that phone number, a couple of people came and evaluated...they gave simple exercises like sorting objects by shapes,colors,holding something in hand,throwing ball, ability to understand and respond, repeating rhymes etc etc...oka series of tests unnaayi, and they score the kid...based on overall score finally they said she met the bench mark,so no issue...and if we are worried of speech delay alone, they asked us to go for a hearing test....we went to one of the ENT specialist and this was one of my worst experiences ever with a doctor in US...fully commercial...we had a 3 hr wait after getting a 2 month late appointment, vaadu 5 mins lo konni tests chesi, hearing is not up to the mark, lets do a surgery and put in tubes in her ear annaadu...u can just go to the next room, right away we will complete the surgery in 1 hr annaadu...literally like Car sales man push chesthunnaadu,get it done ani...surgery ante its a major decision, we need to think and come back ani elaagola vacchesaam bayatiki...after that we went to another hearing specialist, they checked and said everything is fine...aa tharavaatha we met an Indian doctor(Pediatrician)..and he explained that putting tubes in ear is just a mere convenience and it will have long term health impacts...he said, if its just speech delay and not anything else, just don't worry and kid will pick up automatically...mana desi aayana kaabatti cleargaa cheppaadu,ikkada kangaaru pedathaaru,don't panic ani....as time went on she started speaking normally and opened up a lot..now we can't stop her from talking...edo oka point untundhi trigger...aa point lo they change completely...just consult a couple more doctors and make a decision...almost all Indian parents in US are going through similar issues... |

First thing is not to panic and work thru the solution. Its very slow process so parents have to have lot of patience. There will no issues in day to day life. But things will be little different. Dont worry and work thru it. Hope by God's grace he will be fine when he goes to regular school.

Oka vallani piliste evaluate chesi emayina kavaali ante cheptaaru kada ani pilipinchaam almost 2 months back. vallu bi weekly vachi vaaditho aadtam, appudappudoo yoga classes ki teesukuvellatam chestunnaru. Monday roju wife ki chepparu. vaadi activities ni batti
like
- Spinning bowls - chinnappati nunchi alavaatu vaadiki
- round ga tiragatam - ee Madhya start chesaadu.. fan ni choostoo tiragatam.
- repeated ga choosina videos choodatam.
- same pani/play repeated ga cheyyatam
some of them..
vaadu milk start chesinappati nunchi organic ee vaadutunnam. ippudu complete ga stop cheddam ani planning..
koorchovatam, nadavatam borla padatam anni thondara gaane chesaadu.. we were very happy with his development.. speech and potty late avutunte emo veediki late avutundi, kontamandiki avutundi kada ani anukunnam.. ila avutundani assalu expect cheyyaledu..
madhyalo emayina ayyundachaa. food or anything else triggered this?
