BLS is basically waste of time if we call them. Their job entirely is middleman like post office, get your application give to consulate, get it from consulate and give it to you.
This is introduced by someone who wanted to make money I guess thru this side business.
They absolutely have no clue how these consulate works and no clue of what they are needed to do.

Indian consulate is only system where you cannot talk to them directly. Really gone case system..
I was very lucky to get an extension which did help to speed up my passport issue.
Worst system and no one cares to rectify it.

BLS vaallu answering the phone promptly but not much useful. Vancouver consulate lo ayithe mee daggara kante worst (or same), no one answers the phone and the recorded message asks you to call BLS or look at their website. completely fcuked up system.

Basic gaa unless its OCI, everything else will work fine with carry both passports.
Maa kurrollato 2 times traveled with visa on old passport and two times with PIO having old passport. Both times carried both passports and no issues.
So nothing to worry.

Sir ... my experience of travelling with a valid VISA in an expired passport - there is no need to transfer that VISA into the new passport. Unless the VISA you are referring to is OCI/PIO.
I crossed the border many times into USA with valid US VISA in my expired Indian passport. I was fine.

ellemma worst nayallu. 2 times phone chesthe 2 complete opposite answers.
Question: My wife's Canadian passport and Indian visa are expiring at the end of Feb 2016. We are traveling in December, so applied for renewal of Canadian passport. Do we need to transfer the visa from old to new passport?
Answer 1: Yes, you need to and please look into the check list on our website (BLS international). but the check list says you need to have 1 year residual validity in order to transfer the visa. btw, indian embassy website says 3 months residual validity..
called again..
Answer 2: No you don't need to, travel with both old and new passports. you are okay.
What the frock? what should I do??
