Baahubali that was expected to beat all the existing TRP records failed to do so by falling short of Magadheera's TRP's.

Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu that has become the all time second biggest earner at the box office has created similar sensation with its Television premiere too. Srimanthudu TRP’s are very close to Baahubali’s according to TAM.

Srimanthudu got 21.34 TRP’s whereas Baahubali’s was at 21.84. Magadheera is up there with 22 television rating points.

Srimanthudu is not aired on the leading channels like MAA or Gemini. The rights were acquired by Zee Telugu and this is said to be the highest ever TRP in the history of this channel. Mahesh Babu’s movies always draw huge TRP’s.

Srimanthudu is also the best of Mahesh Babu in terms of TRP’s by beating Setamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu ratings.

Television Rating Points are turning out to be prestigious these days as it proves how well the movie has connected with the audience.

Films may do well at the box office due to publicity gimmicks but to get higher TRP’s the movies should be loved to get them glued to the Television sets.
