people are safe but many lost their homes, we were working on evacuations all night and HR will look into package details in coming days. normally they will not face much of financial hardship but this trauma won't go with money. people lost everything..

Yes, most of our field staff live in that area and everyone is impacted one way or the other. I just spoke with my counter part there and he is depressed for all his people more than his own loss. Many people doesn't know if their home will be there by end of today. It's very hot, dry and windy there right now; perfect conditions for fire spread.

Sad thing to know.. may be a naive question. Do people investigate on what actually triggers these forest fires and spread awareness in such areas ? is it almost always like .. human negligence that drives these incidents ? Hope people come out safe from this... |

Its 32C today and less than 15% humidity, perfect dry conditions for fire.
