mari akkade we need to differentiate ourselves with the crop.Be it raw skills or leadership skills ...
its just in my nature to take aggressive route, cos i feel i have missed out on lots of $ in india by not pushing employer. I got out of job in 1 month only then explored and realised people of 8-9yrs experience in Banks like ours getting 24L ... thats a bit insulting that i was soft on $ negotiation, while just doing work.... i am going to be harsh in the US as well, lets c how things go...

Anyway u r saying b.tech IIT..U guys defiNitely have/will have a different starting pay than regular b
Tech guys ..Saying so, i do accept about being savy to not waste time to run our time stucking at low pay compared to peers..
But in my market, i am mostly at par with peers in terms of pay if OEMs are excluded. |

so confidence manalo undali, plan manam cheskovali kada. Before i apply jobs in US, i already put threads here to do sm research on avg $, offline as well ask ppl.If it needs me to work harder, get skills... cheyali mari tappadu kada...
i am from Non-IT, Engineering stream Btech IIT. I definitely see new generation are much more savy they dont want to waste time at low paying jobs. In that sense i made mistakes too...

Excuse ani nuvvu antaavu...It's the stream and talent ani nenu anta..U look to be more talented so u get more pay..There is difference between IT streams and engineering streams..
I am running family with 2 kids successfully in blr with my take home as much as possible even though it may not be a qualified life of good standards like u ppl do in US or etc..
Not only me..My colleague who is masters from iit kanpur is at <15 lakhs after 8 years ..And so the examples |

idi correct, some due to Modi, some due to decline in spending. Even in US I am seeing that.
So for now he is absolutely fine and let him continue. Home town lo 40k take home is very decent for a starter.
Bargain cheyyochu ani cheptam kani ground reality will be different.. Let him enjoy for couple of years before taking a shift.

People,though they start low - will ask for correction. I have experienced this, new crop of IT coolies are very savvy .... wage levels need to adjust acc to experience level...
if you are compromising your $, you are essentially low balling ur skills/degree/capability - which is very bad for the overall mkt. PG chesi BTech equiv $ teeskunte you are insulting ur degree, and also screwing the system a bit..
I do realise i am underpaid as well, cos ppl who report to me get paid better. But atleast i wokeup ( albeit late ) ... 9 yrs exp in Banks, avg package is 24L...

He an average to above average student. Hated his QA job and that's the reason he quit after one year and went to do business analytics. Also B'lore cost of living chaala ekkuva compared to hyderabad. Ikkada ayithe intlo nundi vellochu.

when I was hiring in 2008 in Pune, we used to offer 3.8-4.2 lakhs for a btech guy and 4.6-5.2 lakhs for a PG..
Ikkada mee vodiki 1 year exp kooda undi.. So he could have got easily more salary.
But given its Karvy, thats how they pay..he needs to meticulously plan for a jump in 1-2 years..

GS BLR pays, for btech fresh grads - college bhedam em lekunda... 12L + ... and i know of other tech firms doing same. infact GS had to push up the bar to match IT firms in BLR..

I started in 2007, Btech grad got 4.5 offer. By 2016 i was at 19. And only in 2015 i regretted that i didnt bend the employer well..
first few yrs if one can sweat out and get experience, jump kotti 20-30% hikes cheyachu so couple of jumps you are good. Daniki manchi strategy, aggressive attitude undali - i myself didnt do it. But the mkt will pay a premium to skill...

He might be talking about HYD...
BLR lo mkt ante, big data jobs kuppalu .. one can go thru Marathalli, Electronic city chala startups kuda unnai. India lo i wud prefer BLR over any other city, especially over HYD. Only emaina real trading etc experience ante - can think of Mumbai.
As i said, 5lac package ante 40k inhand.. not great for a PG - Btech aite still can understand. He didnt impress/bend the employer annattu...
that said this is my opinion, not to offend any1...

thanks ya. It's his real first job and they made him report to a VP. He is starting Monday and pretty excited. I have no clue about compensation in India and felt bit awkward to ask him directly (though he is my nephew) if it's a good package or not. Take home roughly 43k a month annadu, not bad emo first real job Ki anukunna. Karvy is the employer.

PG ki 5lac.. not good for sure
Capgem QA - i dont think they have good exposure. He picked right path atleast now, if he definitely is confident of sweating it out for 2 yrs with lower salary, and then make a jump - long run chances would be good.
Also i would suggest, sit in BLR, market is much better than HYD.

Hyderabad data scientist position. B.E. in the same city and PG in data analytics from a reputed college in Blore. B.E. Ki PG Ki madyalo one year capgemini lo QA lo work chesadu which he hated. Hyderabad lo 5 ante decent anukuntanna, not sure.
