call them and try to back date the change, so that you have to pay 250.
I did that for one of my claim, but insurance was AAA, it required some convincing with some reasons though..

If they have cameras on raod, and they see there is no damage, cops come very late. They dont give much priority to the incident..
Car lo evaru unnaru anedaniki Insurance will not care.. All they care is if anyone in car is injured and how much damage is to car..
Since rear end collision, you will be fault and you will have to pay deductible and if other guy claims, they you also have to pay his deductible.. Not sure what type of insurance your state has..

Sorry late gaa choosa thread, not sure if anything is required now..
First insurance exchange is mandatory if the other guy thinks there is damage to his car.,
If no major damage to either cars, calling cops is not required. Also if he thinks car is damaged he will call, you dont need to..
Option A: Then if cops are called, then everything will be recorded and will be on record.
Option B: Cops not called and that guy doesnt think there is damage to his car, he can leave the site without calling cops.
Option C: How to handle your damage, if cops are called, then you have no choice to deal with insurance. If insurance details are exchanged, then also you have no option..
However if the other guy does neither, then its upto you to call insurance or not to fix it..
When no record is there, you can deal it yourself. But you can wait until passengers in your car shows no symptoms of anything.

ippude call chesi insurance ki cheppanu 2 kids under age 18 ani.. nothing else asked..

Just now met with a small accident.
Aagi vunna pick up truck ni venkanunchi kiss chesanu. Down hill lo break nokkina aaga ledu na SUV. roads skiddy kooda karanam ayyundachu.. very minor accident, no one injured.
vaadi car ki em kaaledu but na car frond konchem damage ayyindi.
vaadi car lo vaadu okkade.. na car lo nenu inko passenger and 2 kids vunnaru.
ippudu insurance ki call chesinappudu kids gurunchi cheppachu kada..
na passenger kids gurunchi cheppaku, chepte anavasram ga insurance meeda affect vuntundi antunnadu.. is that true?
please suggest my next steps..
