nenu edho intentions pettukuni anatam ledhu bro. Not only Kurnool or kadapa. Capital kakapothe even Vijayawada ayina... It is not that we will not have doctors, but top top doctors raavatam chala kastam bro. in today's urbanization, people are moving to big cities where there are plenty of opportunities and good educational institutes. That is the life today. so small cities/towns ki entha mandi Top doctors vastaru.
Vijayawada pedda city pedda private hospitals antaru kaani, but big problems ki many go to hyderabad because Hyderabad has better facilities and better doctors. I don't think it is any different in Kurnool or any other city in AP. |

HYDERABAD: The Sivaramkrishna committee on Monday had a first-hand experience of the anger of people of Kurnool for not giving top priority to the city during its study tour to locate capital of Andhra Pradesh. Kurnool functioned as the capital of Andhra for three years, from 1953 to 1956.
People from all walks of life on Monday thronged the Kurnool collectorate complex, the venue for receiving representations from the public. Following the protest, the committee had to shift the venue to the nearby Sunayana auditorium. At the outset of the meeting, advocates, lecturers, representatives from chamber of commerce, six MLAs from YSR Congress, TDP leader and former minister KE Prabhakar and BJP state vice-president K Kapileswaraiah registered their displeasure over Kurnool being given the short shrift despite it being the capital till Andhra Pradesh was formed by merging Andhra and Hyderabad states.
Speaking to TOI, I Vijaya Kumar Reddy, president, chamber of commerce, said the state government was presenting a case of fait accompli to the people of Rayalaseema. "It is clear from the statements of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and other ministers that the capital is coming up near Guntur and Vijayawada. But if the Rayalaseema demand is ignored, the people of the region will not take it lying down," he cautioned. |
