just watched the interview of bmo's cheif economist. He says Alberta will be in trouble and housing market here will be in big trouble if the oil prices stay lower for longer term. In his opinion, rest of the country should be okay including housing market because BOC is going to keep these ultra low interest rates for much longer term..

2008 lo Financial crisis 2015 lo Oil crisis. But overall effect should not be as bad as 2008 as Oil related industry is only 10% of the markets.
