also Vonage is 27.99 and OOMA is 17.99...start up cost $149, so by the time we break even it will be 15 months

Equipment cost is pretty normal for OOma. There is no monthly charges for service other than taxes. That is the reason, they are charging one time on equipment. Porting is also the same, i believe everybody charges on porting. I don't see any other alternative better than this. I heard bad reviews on ReliableIP phone and others. |

I have been using it.
I only sign up for 500 international min for $5.
So far so good. Quality is good. Only problem is, Ooma app on iPhone iOS 8 is not working. It is a known issue. But this app works great on Android. |
