I think so too John. Also we need to be clear about the next steps. MAA is obviously looking at this as a vindication of what they've been saying all along- that there is no "taint" to Mr. Prasad's investments in MAA. In my view this order certainly does mitigate the risk of those shares being attached. However the fact is that PMLA investigations continue and there could possibly be attachments in future. I doubt we will get any assurance from counsel that the MAA shares are risk free. But if we now go back to MAA and ask for guarantees, I don't think Mr. Prasad is going to be very happy.

The order will have to be served on Mr. Prasad and I think that should happen this week. We do need to see it because the press release gives no details. Proceedings under the PMLA will continue because there is still a large amount of allegedly tainted monies not recovered. This attachment of close to 830 crs is probably the largest the ED has done since the law was enacted.

This is the information MAA has shared. It's a brief "press release" issued by the ED. Mr. Prasad apparently has not yet received the attachment order.
The press release details the value and details of the assets provisionally attached of Jagan Reddy and Mr. Prasad. As you can see there is still a gap between the amounts mentioned in the Charge sheet and the value of the assets attached so far. However Mr. Prasad's shares in MAA have not been attached which suggests (but does not ipso facto mean) that the ED may not have proof of their being "tainted".
I've shared this with Jaya and spoken with her. If you wish to discuss we can set up a call during one of our mornings.
